The 2024 Chenoa Memorial Day Service is scheduled to begin around 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Chenoa Cemetery along Route 24.
In case of bad weather, the ceremony will be moved to the VFW at the same time with a short service.
Guest speaker this year is Chenoa native Gunnery Sergeant Chris Grant, Marines. The Prairie Central band will provide musical selections and the Chenoa VFW Color Guard will be on hand along with the Girls Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Pastor Tim Huber of Christ Community Church of Chenoa will give the opening and closing prayers.
Flags will be put at Chenoa Cemetery this Saturday at 8 a.m. and the cemetery will be illuminated starting at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday nights. Volunteers are needed at 2 p.m. Monday to help take down flags.
