June C. Lubkeman, 90, Bloomington, passed away at 9:12 am Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.


Mrs. Lubkeman was born June 16, 1935 in Bloomington, IL the daughter of Harold and Mildred Wellmerling Raymond. She married Pastor August Lubkeman on September 2, 1956 in Bloomington. He survives in Bloomington.


Other survivors include three children, David Lee Lubkeman, Cary, NC, Timothy James (Ruthie) Lubkeman, Urbana, Rebecca Marie (Paul) Fox, Elgin. June was a loving grandmother to three grandchildren, Nicole, Jacob, and Michelle Fox. She was a proud great grandmother to two great grandchildren, Jax and Eli Bihlmaier. June is also survived by her brother, Jim Raymond of Chenoa.


She is preceded in death by one sister, Jean Krople Gassman.


June was a devoted Christian and a faithful partner in ministry as a pastor’s wife. She served as both church secretary and organist, roles that reflected her commitment to faith and community. She was a current member of Christ Lutheran Church in Normal.

A talented gardener, June had a remarkable green thumb. Her flower garden and landscaping brought joy to all who saw them and were a reflection of her love for beauty and nature.


The family has planned a memorial service at 11:30am Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Christ Lutheran Church in Normal with Pastor Timothy Fitzner officiating. Private burial will be in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home in Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.
