Semi catches fire after crash

State Police responded to Interstate 55 at milepost 187 near Chenoa Wednesday morning for a report of a traffic crash involving two truck-tractor semi-trailers.

One truck-tractor caught fire and traffic was rerouted off of the interstate at Chenoa shortly before 7 a.m. Police say the truck that caught on fire was a USPS vehicle transporting mail. One person was transported to an area hospital but no further accident details were released.

All lanes of the interstate were reopened as of 12:20 p.m. Wednesday.
