The big Chenoa 4th of July celebration officially gets underway this Sunday (June 27) with the annual Road Rally.
Registration is from 10 a.m. to noon at the Chenoa west park pavilion and the cost is $30 per car. A driver's meeting begins at noon with the first car leaving at 12:30 p.m. Participants must be 18 or older.
Chenoa 4th of July events continue on Saturday, July 3 with the street dance, pork chop dinner and ice cream social, contest winner announcements and more. The Sunday, July 4 highlights include a flea market, cruise-in, food vendors, Methodist Church food stand, parade at 2 p.m. (which we will broadcast live on Chenoa News) and fireworks at dusk.
A house decorating contest is also planned as residents can show their holiday spirit by decorating homes and yards. Judging starts at 1 p.m. July 3.
