Larry G. Rhoads, 73 of Chenoa died at 10:49am, Monday, January 1, 2024 at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation with the family will be 1 to 3 pm, Monday, January 8, 2024 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family of Larry Rhoads.
Mr. Rhoads was born April 26, 1950 in Trumann, Arkansas; the son of Ted and Margie (Wells) Rhoads. He married Tina Nix on June 1, 1994 in Pontiac. His wife Tina survives in Chenoa.
Other survivors include three daughters, Tammy (Dwayne) Couch of Campton, KY; Lisa (Ryan) Koener of Washington; Savannah Rhoads of Arkansas; three sons, Gene Rhoads of Chenoa; Tony Rhoads of Pontiac; Charles Rhoads of Chenoa; five brothers, Pat (Margaret) Rhoads of New Mexico; Randy (Kathy) Rhoads of Fairbury; David Rhoads of Rockford; Gary (Cathy) Rhoads of Chatsworth; Gerald (Diane) Rhoads of St. Joseph; two sisters, Shirley (Dennis) Cook of Gilman; Bev (Alan) Metz of Cullom and nine grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Larry enjoyed music, especially old classic country or bluegrass gospel. Many nights as a family Larry and his sons would play music and just enjoy being together. He had a love for classic cars and enjoyed fishing when he could. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
