Emma K. Oliver, 86, of Chenoa, passed away at 9:56 am on Monday, January 8, 2024 at her daughter’s residence in Bloomington.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 17th, 2024 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. Burial will follow at Chenoa Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Chenoa VFW Post 835 or the Chenoa 4th of July Committee.
Emma was born December 26, 1937 in Cropsey, IL, the daughter of Charles Frederick and Lillie (Yaden) Ward. She married Roy Oliver on December 29, 1973 in Pontiac. She is preceded in death by her husband and both parents.
Emma is survived by her children: Donald Miller, Cullom; John (Gina) Henline, Bloomington; Rick (Deb) Golliday, Pontiac; Dawn (Billy Hetherington) Sharp; Geoph Oliver, Lebanon, Missouri; and Doug (Tammy) Oliver, Chenoa; two sisters, Lucille Payton of Hudson; Amanda Bachtold of Fairbury; two brothers, Charles (Clarice) Ward, LeRoy (Barb) Ward both of Fairbury; She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by: one daughter, Jean Miller; two sons, William F. Miller and David “Buck” Golliday; two grandsons, Kyle Sharp and Tyler Friant; and one brother-in-law, Chuck Payton.
Mrs. Oliver was a member of the Chenoa VFW auxiliary and Chenoa 4th of July Committee for many years. She loved her family dearly. In addition to her own kids and grandkids, she considered herself a mother and grandmother to many others. Emma will be missed by them all.
