Obituary: Norman




Paul E. Norman Jr. 77, of Chenoa passed away at 6:18pm, Saturday, April 20, 2024 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.


Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Pastor Kyle Ronchetto officiating.  Burial will follow in Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa.


Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 24, 2024 also at the memorial home in Chenoa. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be directed to Community Cancer Center, Normal; or the charity of the donor’s choice.


Mr. Norman was born March 30, 1947 in Bloomington, IL the son of Paul and Jacqueline (Horner) Norman. He married Linda Marie Glaser on November 22, 1972 in Bloomington, IL.  His wife, Linda preceded him in death on November 16, 2011.  His parents, one son, Dana Rae Norman, one grandson, Steven Hutchins, two brothers, Dan Norman and Tim Norman also preceded him in death.


Survivors include one son, Gary (Mindy Bose) Norman, Gibson City; two daughters, Julie (Steve) Hutchins, Chenoa; Lisa Mayr, Chenoa; one brother, Rick Norman, Bloomington; one sister, Angie Wickoff, Bloomington; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Paul served our country in the US Army Reserves and was later employed at State Farm Insurance Company; and Eureka Vacuum Company, both in Bloomington.  Paul loved his family and always put them first. His quiet demeanor and unselfish, tender heart will forever be missed by all who knew and loved him. While his family’s hearts are broken, they are comforted knowing he has been reunited with the love of his life, Linda.
