
Padmini Kondeti, 76 of Ongole, India, died at 12:20 am, Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at her son’s residence in Skokie, IL.
Funeral services will be 11 am, Saturday, September 30, 2023 at Chenoa Methodist Church, Chenoa, IL; with Rev. Mac Dalton and Rev. David Sagar Dadhipogu officiating. Burial will follow in Chenoa Township Cemetery, Chenoa, IL.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral, 10 to 11am, also at the church in Chenoa on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to North Shore Assembly of God, Skokie, IL. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kondeti was born July 1, 1947 in India; the daughter of Eugene Samuel and Janet (Ongole) Kondeti. She married Joseph Kodavatikanti in 1972. Her husband preceded her in death on August 3, 2021. Her parents and three brothers also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons; Sangram (Sarah) Kodavatikanti of Skokie and Rod (Laura) Kodavatikanti of Chenoa; one daughter, Sandyarani (Samarpana Rao) Pandi of India; one brother, Edward Samuel Kondeti of India; two sisters, Pramila (Harris) Suganandam of Grand Rapids, MI; Sulochana Ramanjalu of India; and six grandchildren, Jewel, Jeremiah, Judah, Darshini, Karen and Jaden.
Mrs. Kondeti loved Jesus and was a proud lifetime member of the Jewett Memorial Baptist Church in Ongole, India. She enjoyed her career as a registered nurse, serving people in many aspects of health care including rural clinic care where she did everything from births to end of life. She also worked for many years in a leprosy clinic.
Mrs. Kondeti was an avid shopper, enjoying watching the trends for new fashion and jewelry. She also was very loyal to her family and loved ones. She was first fan for all her grandchildren’s interests. Her contagious laugh and smile will be missed and remembered forever.
