Marilyn Kauffman, 93, Chenoa, died at 9:50 pm Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac.
Her funeral will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the United Methodist Church, Chenoa with Pastor Deb Honegger officiating. Burial will be in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery, Chenoa.
Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 pm Friday, December 1, 2023 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa and 10:00 to 10:45 am Saturday at the church. The family suggests memorials be given to the United Methodist Church, Chenoa or the Chenoa Historical Society.
Mrs. Kauffman was born February 11, 1930 in Pontiac, IL the daughter of Emil and Reba (Hill) Masso. She married Vernon Eugene Kauffman on February 6, 1954 in Chenoa. He preceded her in death on February 16, 2012.
Survivors include one son, Chris (Vickie) Kauffman, Bloomington, Sandi (Jay) Zehr, Chenoa, four grandchildren, Adam (Farrah) Kauffman, Aaron (Jess) Kauffman, Kevin (Samantha) Zehr and Lisa Zehr and three great grandchildren with a fourth soon to arrive. She is also survived by two special lifetime friends, Hila Ferguson and Mary Ann Tavener.
She is preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas Kauffman and three sisters, Dorothy Cullop, Gloria Weber and Joyce Ringenberg.
Mrs. Kauffman was a graduate of Chenoa Community High School. She worked as an invoice and billing clerk at Anthony Liftgate, Pontiac, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chenoa, the Chenoa VFW Axillary, Chenoa Historical Society and the CUMC Kitchen Band.
Marilyn was blessed with many friends and family who loved her dearly. Her grandchildren were the love of her life.
