David L. “Buck” Golliday, 60, Chenoa, died at 8:11 am Friday, February 10, 2023 at his residence, Chenoa.
His funeral will be at 2:00pm Friday, February 17, 2023 at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa with Pastor David Heath officiating. Burial will be in Chenoa Twp. Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa. The family suggests memorials be given to the David “Buck” Golliday family.
Buck was born November 24, 1962 in Pontiac, IL the son of Robert and Emma Kay Ward Golliday. He married Brenda Prakel on June 18, 2022 in Chenoa. She survives in Chenoa. Buck and Brenda had been together for 29 years.
Other survivors include two daughters; Monica (Mikey) Baker, Bloomington; Charesa (Jared) Aklin, Fairbury; mother; Emma Oliver, Chenoa; siblings; Rick (Deb) Golliday, Pontiac; John (Gina) Henline, Bloomington; Dawn Sharp, Bloomington; Donnie Miller, Cullom; Doug (Tammy) Oliver, Chenoa and Charmin Todd, Chenoa and seven grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
He is preceded in death by his father, step mother and one brother.
Buck was a graduate of Chenoa High School. He had been employed by Elson Water Conditioning, Chenoa for many years and later Jay’s Plumbing and Heating, Gridley.
Buck’s best bud was Braxton and he was often quoted as saying I love you to the moon and back.
