Dorothy I. Erdman, 90 of Chenoa, died at 1:30pm Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Goldwater Care, Pontiac; formerly Good Samaritan Home, Pontiac.
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Friday, November 18, 2022 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Chenoa. Burial will follow in Chenoa Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:00 am on Friday also at the church in Chenoa. The family suggests memorials be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Chenoa. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Chenoa is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Erdman was born September 15, 1932 in Michigan City, IN; the daughter of Rev. Arnd T. and Laura (Olson) Buckler. She married Ronald Erdman on November 4, 1956 in Cullom. Her husband Ronald, preceded her in death on January 20, 2019. Her parents, one brother, three sisters and one son, Daniel Erdman also preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, Michael Erdman of Colfax; Debbie (Allen) Thomason of Evanston, WY; and Thomas (Kim) Erdman, Lovington; one brother, Gerald (Donna) Buckler of Pontiac; four grandchildren, Christine (Tyler) Putnam of Midland, TX; Erica (Jorgen) Hansen of Evanston, WY; Jamie (Jeremy) McAfee of Chenoa; Matthew Erdman of Bloomington; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Erdman was a 1950 graduate of Cullom high school and later attended Mennonite Hospital school for nursing. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Chenoa.
