A new sign greets visitors to Chenoa at the corner of Old Route 66 and Route 24.
The Bloomington Area Convention and Visitors Bureau approached Chenoa as they wrote a grant to include all McLean County communities up and down Old Route 66. Matt Hawkins with the Bloomington CVB headed up the project.
This new sign was installed just in time for the big Chenoa Fourth of July celebration this week and serves as the perfect photo opportunity for visitors and local residents.
The city is preparing for the big centennial celebration of the “Mother Road” in a few years.
