The Chenoa City Park is shown earlier this month.

Chenoa’s Space Age Pioneers 4-H Club has received a boost in its tree planting initiatives in public park areas.

The local Prairie Lands Foundation has announced a dollar for dollar match of up to $1,000 in new donations made to the 4-H club toward their goal of reaching $5,000 for the tree planting.

Anyone interested in participating in the matching donation project should direct donations to: Venmo Fund @Rachel-Kridner, PayPal: Rachel.kridner@gmail.com or prepare a check made out to Space Age Pioneers and mail it to Rachel Kridner, 320 Weir Street, Chenoa, IL 61726.

For more information, e-mail spaceagepioneers@gmail.com or call 309-531-6682.

Prairie Lands Foundation is a non-profit corporation focused in the counties of Livingston, McLean and Ford and was organized to provide a tax exempt structure for charitable gifting for community projects along with developing public spaces, educational programs and the conservation, preservation and beatification of urban and rural areas.
