Chenoa’s city park was full of family fun Saturday evening thanks to Christ Community Church.
The church’s annual family fun night included face painting, bouncy houses, giveaways, cotton candy, sno-cones and dinner for everyone.
“It is a fully free event” explained church member Luke Augspurger.
This was a great way for the church to reach out to the community, according to Pastor Tim Huber.
“One of the guys at our church has a tent for questions,” explained Huber. “Questions about faith and Christianity, questions about God and we’ve also got people there willing to pray with you.”
As the event keeps growing, the church brought more food compared to last year. The crowd was fairly steady from the 5:30 to 8 p.m. time frame and some said it was their largest crowd yet.
“We’ve been praying for good weather since we started the event and God continues to bless us with good weather to host it, so it’s been a blessing,” added Augspurger.
