Author to appear at Chenoa library

The author of a series of children’s books will present a program and sign books at the Chenoa Public Library on May 6.


Anne M. Slanina, Ph.D. is the author of The Adventures of Annie Mouse series of books and a native of Youngstown, Ohio who currently residents in western Pennsylvania where she retired as a professor at Slippery Rock University. Slanina is a Route 66 enthusiast who has traveled the highway each year since 2006.


Slanina writes from the perspective of a young child, drawing upon her many years of experience teaching as we as her annual road trips for the inspiration behind Annie Mouse’s adventures. She is the mother of two sons and grandmother of four.


Highlights from the Route 66 photo journals will be shared during the May 6 event at the library in Chenoa which starts at 10:30 a.m. Her books will also be for sale.
