A parade to remember

An entry in Sunday's Chenoa 4th of July parade.

From corn pickers and classic tractors to floats and a marching band, this year's Chenoa 4th of July parade did not disappoint.

A large number of spectators lined both sides of the parade route which headed through the downtown area before turning at Lincoln and heading east. The theme was "Together or Apart, We Celebrate America in our Hearts."

Sunday afternoon's parade featured the Prairie Central High School Marching Hawks, members of various groups, politicians, motorcycles, semis, classic cars and a number of area businesses were represented.

We featured a live parade broadcast on Chenoa News with Kent Casson and Fred Kilcullen calling the action. Thanks to our sponsors this year: Chenoa Fitness Center, Feese Homes with Keller Williams Revolution, Blessings from Above, Crossroads Cafe and the Chenoa 4th of July Committee.

Members of the Shriners are always popular at local parades driving their small cars.
