The weekend Chenoa Shop-n-Go “Spring Fling” at the city park drew a large crowd and those attending enjoyed beautiful weather.
“We got all of the rain out of the way yesterday and today, it’s gorgeous,” organizer Melissa Cooper said on Saturday.
Close to 60 vendors participated in the event and there were close to 50 vehicles participating in the nearby car show on the street. The Shop-n-Go group is looking for volunteers.
“We need somebody who really wants to pay it forward for kids,” explained Cooper. “That’s what we are all about.”
The group raises money through booth fees, donation buckets, a 50/50 and auction. Someone donated a 32-inch TV.
“Any events that we put on for your kids all comes out of this,” added Cooper.
Mark your calendar because the Shop-n-Go Fall Fest is scheduled for September 16-17 at the park with the same hours of 9-4 on Saturday and 9-3 Sunday. Cooper is also helping to organize the upcoming flea market on July 3 and 4.
