Big weekend planned in town

Updated: May 5, 2022

As we roll through the first full week of May, there will be plenty of activities throughout Chenoa this weekend.

The city is participating in the annual Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor Festival on Saturday (May 7). The Midwest Real Street Machines/Outlaws will hold the 2022 cruise-in from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the old Goodin's Used Car Lot at north Division Street. A food truck will be open on the site. All makes and models are welcome and there are no fees, no trophies or judging - just a good time.

Chenoa's citywide garage sales are set for Friday (May 6) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday (May 7) from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Garage sales are sponsored by the Chenoa Women's Club with proceeds benefitting Chenoa projects. Maps are available at Chenoa Pharmacy, Casey's, Heartland Bank and Chenoa Fitness Center.

The Chenoa 5K Run and Walk takes place Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Sign-up at Crossroads Cafe. A $25 entry fee includes the t-shirt and fun treats with proceeds donated back to the Red Carpet Corridor event in Chenoa. For more information, contact Rachel at 309-434-4353.

Chenoa's 4th of July raffle golf cart will be on display outside Chenoa Pharmacy with tickets sold inside from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Tickets are also available at Chenoa Fitness Center, Brown Jug, Butler's Pantry, Blessings from Above, Crossroads Cafe and Chenoa Locker.
